Introducing our Family Introductory Membership.
This membership is intended for a fully vetted, in good standing Golden City member to introduce a direct family member to shooting and our club/range without needing to fully join and go through our safety vetting process.
Golden City is a private club and therefore this membership is only available to direct family members of a fully vetted, in good standing Golden City member.
Direct family members only. Proof will be required.
This membership is not intended for proficient firearm users but rather as an introduction to sport shooting and shooting in general.
This membership cannot be renewed.
Membership includes 5 two-hour sessions under full supervision and responsibility of a fully vetted, in good standing member of Golden City.
You are limited to 3 targets and patches supplied by the club and only access granted is to ranges 10, 11 or 12 and the club house facility i.e. bathrooms.
The access granted is not available on any day that a match is hosted by the club and not to any other range other than ranges 10, 11 or 12.
Under no circumstances can you engage in any match scenarios, shoot plates, moving targets or any other targets used in normal match conditions.
The fully vetted paid up Golden City member is responsible and accountable for their family member.
Any abuse of this membership will see the Golden City member lose their membership. This includes but is not limited to:
– shooting on any range other than range 10, 11 or 12
– creating match scenarios, using match props and target arrays
– enrolling non direct family members or acquaintance’s
– shooting more than five sessions
– allowing any unsafe gun handling activities
– Allowing or enrolling proficient/experienced sport shooters.
– using our shooting range without the supervision of the fully vetted in good standing member.
Once you have used your five sessions and wish to continue in the sport, you can follow the normal procedures to join Golden City Sport Shooting Club as a member.
The initial R500.00 paid will be deducted from your club membership application.
You will then follow all normal vetting procedures as dictated by Golden City Sport Shooting Club.
Important.
Any members using our range, facilities are utilizing such facilities entirely at their own risk. Therefore, members indemnify Golden City Shooting Club/Range and the management of this facility in full and shall have no claim of whatsoever nature against Golden City Shooting Club/Range and management including any claim, from any injury / bodily harm / death and or / loss of property which could arise from the use of this facility.
